About Julie


The saying, “Shipshape and Bristol Fashion” is not exactly a modern expression, but way back when in England where it originated, this expression was a respectable honour.  Originally meant to be a tribute to the traditional high standards of good order on board sailing ships, the expression later took form as a term to describe a well organized, efficient household or business.

This expression is very endearing to me, not just for it’s funny-stately manner, but because it reminds me of the strong, caring, creative role models I have known throughout my life.

My decision to become a Professional Organizer came after years of working and volunteering in the non-profit social service sector.  Through education and years of dedication, I’ve fine tuned the skills that I love the most; organizing, coordinating, creating beautiful spaces and managing chaotic situations to turn them into workable solutions.  I truly enjoy helping my clients achieve a balance in their life.

Mother Theresa said it best, “The more you have, the more occupied you are.  The less you have, the more free you are.”

To me, organization is not about perfection, it’s about improving your overall quality of life.  I firmly believe that everyone needs their own system of organization to fit their lifestyle habits.  I will work with you to find that balance between a well organized space and a functional system that best suits your needs.

Professional Organizers in Canada (POC): As a registered, national association representing professional organizers across the country, The POC mandate is to provide a supportive environment for its members to share ideas, network and exchange referrals. Ultimately, POC aims to provide credibility, community and connections. Currently, POC represents more than 500 members in more than 14 chapters across Canada. Members of Professional Organizers in Canada are organizing professionals from all sectors of the industry, comprising residential and office organizers, time management and goal setting professionals, estate organizing experts and many, many more.
